The Electrical Contractors Trust of Alameda County focused significant resources on the continued implementation of the Safety Enhancement Program that provides union electrical contractors working in Alameda County with a wide range of safety services. Our contactors reap the substantial benefits of bi-monthly safety training workshops, program updates and implementation, and our monthly safety and trust newsletter. The Trust maintained their safety product reimbursement program that reimbursed up to $2000 per contributing firm for any safety-related products purchased during the year.

UPCOMING CLASSES

This year the Trust will attempt to arrange classes to better suit contractor needs by focusing on Cal-OSHA training topics. The Trust will partner with Barrett Business Services and poll the contractors to learn which 10-12 topics would be most useful. We will then set up classes to spread out during the entire year. The Trust will provide attendees with a laminated card that can be kept in wallets, so one may show inspectors what certifications they have completed.
